sidhi vinayak mumbai

Shri Sidhi Vinayak Mumbai
Sidhi Vinayak is none other than Lord Ganesha. Chaturbhuj form of ganpati is worshipped here along with his two wives, Ridhi and Sidhi. Ganesha holds his favorite sweet, Modaks in his lower hand on the right, while the upper hand carries a lotus. The upper left hand has an axe in it; the lower hand carries a rosary.
Ganesha appears in Mumbai with his third eye, like his father Shiva. Snake like thread from the shoulder and then across the belly, makes ganesha appear to be a Brahmin of caste. Idol of the Mumbai Raja is made of black stone in a frame made of brass.
Special hours have been fixed for the Darshan of the idol. Sidhi Vinayak is also known as Ashtavinayak out here.
Temple hours are from four in the morning till 9.45 in the evening. One can avail of live Darshan online.
The temple is built on the place where Lord Vishnu attained Sidhi through his tapa. It is here that he killed two demons Madhu and Kaitabh.
